Numerian, as Caesar, 282-283. Aureus (Gold, 20 mm, 4.57 g, 7 h), Cyzicus, 283. NVMAERIANVS (sic!) NOB CAES Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Numerian to right, seen from behind. Rev. VICTORIA CAESARIS / K Victory driving galloping biga to left, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond in her left. Calicó -, cf. 4327 and 4328 (differing bust types). Cohen 98 var. (same). RIC 371. A very rare coin with an interesting spelling error on the obverse. Plugged hole at 11 o'clock on the obverse and with some scratches, otherwise, very fine.
